Chiltern Open Air Museum
On Tuesday Year 3 went to the Chiltern Open Air Museum. The class were exploring the way that people would have lived during the Iron Age and Stone Age. The children had an incredible hands on day which they all really enjoyed, this was helped enormously by all of the help we had from parents who volunteered to join us!
Here is an article written by Elise and Liam.
We all really enjoyed the day, especially making flour by shredding wheat between two big stone wheels. We also had a go at making some drinking cups from clay which we were allowed to bring home. I really liked pretending to be a hunter and I managed to find fur and a horn of a deer. I enjoyed making fire by scraping flint on iron, I liked it because it took a lot of practice to get it perfect. By Elise and Liam
