Holtspur School & Pre-School May Fair
Sunday 20th May 2018 12 - 3 pm
Please see flyer for full details.
Calling all green-fingered types or those who just fancy getting their hands dirty!
We need your gardener skills/outdoor enthusiasm to help Holtspur School with the lovely green areas that make the Learning Outside the Classroom sessions that our kids are involved in so much fun – whether it’s Lottie’s garden by Reception which needs a tidy up and planting update this Spring, or the new Nest learning and discovery garden we are hoping to create over the next couple of seasons.
Our Plant Stall at the May Fair is also legendary for a flowery bargain and planting advice from our current gardening crew – we would love to have some more plant donations
If you can help out in any way please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are thrilled to be working with Lisa Gill Photography again to offer 30 minute photo shoots for £15. Lisa and her team will be coming to the school on Sunday 13 May - take a look at the Booking Poster and Price List below for more information. Spaces book up fast so reserve yours now!
**A BIG THANK YOU **
Thank you to everyone who has supported the PTA over the last year, we hope you have had fun participating in the events and raising lots of money for our kids.
We are delighted to have raised enough over the past 12 months to give the school over £12,000 to invest in an array of amazing playground equipment, which will be used by our children on a daily basis (things such as creative drawing trail, games tables, permanent goals and netball posts, den building equipment, music instruments, staging for role-play etc).
A big thank you goes to Mrs Meyer and the school council who have worked so hard on this project to bring life back into the playground and understand what children need from the area of play both for development and community.
We don’t want to spoil the surprise so there is a sneak peek image below of some of the exciting and fun items that are on their way and how pleased the children will be to play with these.
With your support, the PTA raised over £17,000 last year and this is how we did it.
Wine Tasting: £1,340
Christmas Fair: £2,650
Christmas Cards: £510
Quiz Night: £1,120
Sponsored Bounce: £2,090
May Fair: £3,550
Movie Night: £1,370
Fun Food Fridays: £700
Donations/Grants: £4,000 (£3,000 last year, £1,000 this year)
Football Tournament: £470 (this year)
As you know, we continue to support the school and provide the extras that our children need so we are now working hard to raise about £15,000 for new PCs in the ICT suite. We know this is within our reach and we look forward to working with you to create further fun events and lasting memories over the coming year.
