Welcome to our Pre-School

We understand how important your child is and it is our aim to deliver the highest quality of care and education to help them to achieve their best.

Our prospectus aims to provide you with an introduction to Holtspur Pre-School, our routines, our approach to supporting your child’s learning and development and how we aim to work together with you to best meet your child’s individual needs.

Our setting aims to:

• Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age
• Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop
• Add to the life and well-being of the local community
• Offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

About us

The Pre-School was formed in 1971 by a small group of local parents as a committee run community playgroup.   In 2012 we became part of Holtspur School and in September 2017 we moved into our new, purpose-built premises and became a 44 place nursery with the name changing to Holtspur School & Pre-school.   We have grown in size and now serve the surrounding areas with children attending from High Wycombe, Loudwater, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Flackwell Heath and Hedgerley.

We have one large room inside with designated areas and a secure outside learning area. We provide a happy, safe and nurturing environment for our children providing a varied amount of exciting activities to build inquisitive, stimulated and happy minds.

Holtspur School & Pre-school have an active PTA. Fundraising events provide a valuable source of income for the School & Pre-school and the PTA ensure these funds are used for purchasing new equipment children’s experience at the School & Pre-school. The events also provide a great opportunity to meet other parents away from the mêlée of drop off and collection times.
