Christmas Fair raises an amazing £2800!
Thu 30 Nov 2017We hope you all enjoyed the Christmas Fair and had plenty of festive fun. The fair certainly got us all in the Christmas mood with some great stalls (thank you to all our stalll holders), activities, raffle prizes, tombola’s, mulled wine & of course a visit from the main man himself - Santa. It was a huge success and that is all thanks to Christine Adali and a Christmas Fair Team. The fair would never have happened if it wasn’t for Christine’s commitment, organisation & planning skills – and a little twist of magic. A big thank you to all the helpers from set up & take down, cake bakers, raffle ticket sellers, Santa’s Grotto elf helpers, tombola organisers, front gate collectors & drink makers. It was an amazing event, thank you to everyone who came and supported our school. Merry Christmas -
Handball Festival
Fri 24 Nov 2017Today, some year 5 and year 6 children went to Clayton’s Primary School for a handball tournament. Everyone had so much fun. They were split into different teams and got to play eight games. The Year 6 final was decided by a nail biting penalty shoot-out which went on and on! It was a great morning, all the children demonstrated a brilliant team spirit and were impeccably behaved. -

Remembrance at Holtspur
Fri 10 Nov 2017This week every child in the school made their very own poppy which they then placed in the garden near our greenhouse.
Our school council helped Miss Barton put all the poppies out by our greenhouse this morning so thank you to them.
Today, we held a Remembrance gathering in the playground. All the children in the main school were involved and we had a representative from the British Legion and a member of Oxford Brooks University. Please come in and see our lovely display in the school office.

Children In Need ... we are collecting all old £1 coins!
Mon 06 Nov 2017As you may already know, Monday 13th November is the start of this year’s Children in Need
Appeal Week.
Our school is excited to be joining with many others around the UK to participate in the
fundraising programme, the Big BBC Children in Need Spotacular.
We will be having a Spotacular mufti day on Friday 17th November, where the children can
come to school dressed in their spottiest attire, in return for a £1 donation for Children in
Need. The Fun Food Friday cake sale, also on the 17th, will donate the proceeds to Children
in Need. Pudsey and Blush glitter pin badges will be on sale in school from tomorrow and will
be £1 each.
Furthermore, if you have any old £1 coins at home which are no longer in circulation, these
are being collected by the school and brought to Lloyds bank. The pounds will be exchanged
and the amount raised will be given to help to change the lives of even more disadvantaged
children.
These can be given to class teachers up to the 17th November. Let’s see which class can find
the most old £1 coins!
Thank you in advance for your continued support.
