As some of you may be aware, out front door has broken. County have informed us that it will not be replaced until after Christmas.
This is obviously a difficult situation and we cannot continue to let parents and visitors walk through various rooms in the school to reach the office as it is a safeguarding issue and we must put the safety of our pupils first.
We have therefore put the following procedure in place (effective from 4th November):
Anything for the office (such as permission slips, money, PTA correspondence or medication etc) must be passed to your class teacher or TA as the office will be inaccessible. If you wish to speak to the office regarding anything please call on 01494 674325 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If your forget your child's packed lunch, PE kit, swimming kit etc, a covered box will be placed in the main entrance. Please place any items in the box. This will be checked and emptied at break and again before lunch. The items will be passed onto your child, please therefore ensure that they are clearly named.
If you have an appointment with a member of staff or are picking up/dropping a child to school, please go to the music room entrance (at the end of the staff car park), ring the doorbell and wait for someone to open the door. Please be patient as it is quite a walk from the office and we may be on the phone.
