Holtspur Community Mutual Aid - response to Covid-19
'Holtspur Community Mutual Aid' has been set up to co-ordinate support for those in Holtspur who are in need or feeling isolated. The model is to localise support and enable streets to self-manage as far as possible. We are asking people to consider becoming reps to access and provide practical and social support for the residents on their street.
We have been in contact with Better Connected who are a charity who have linked up with the Council / GP surgeries / Churches in order to co-ordinate and deliver a strategic plan for helping vulnerable people and put safeguarding in place. In order to have one central place of organisation Better Connected have put out an online volunteer form and are populating a database of volunteers.
If anyone would like to volunteer to represent and support the residents on their street, please fill in this form. BCB have said they will make direct contact today with those of you who kindly sign up and will offer guidance and fliers.
We will keep you all updated of any news as we get via facebook but in the meantime please do feel free to continue to share thoughts, concerns, seek and offer help and touch base as you would like.
