In History this term we have looked at toys through the ages. We looked at many toys
from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s in particular. We started our term with choosing our favourite
toy from a pile of toys and described it in brief using our adjectives. Then we moved on to
looking at toys that our parents or grandparents may have played with, from there we
compared modern toys with old toys and thought about their weight and materials. We
also discovered that many old toys were handmade and hand painted, making them
expensive, so rich people were more likely to have them. We realised that we are lucky to
have so many toys to play with due to them being cheaper to produce and for us to
