  Today we celebrated our Harvest Assembly, which was lead by Years 3, 4 and 5. Thank you for all your donations towards the ‘One Can Trust’, a Wycombe based charity which provides food banks and parcels to local families who need help.

  Congratulations to Noah & Jorja-Rose for being elected as Head Boy & Head Girl, well done to everyone who presented in the election ... also congratulations to our Deputy Head Boy and Girl, Ella & Kayden who will also take on the role of JRSO's.

  Harvest Assembly

  Next Friday we will be celebrating our Harvest Assembly and all parents are welcome to join us.

  Years 3, 4 and 5 lead this assembly. This year we will be collecting items for the ‘One Can Trust’. This is a Wycombe based charity which provides food banks and parcels to local families who need help. We would gratefully receive non-perishable food items.

  Please send in your contributions from Wednesday next week and we will display these before taking them over to the charity.

  We are holding a Read, Write, Inc. Phonics Workshop on Monday 25 September at 2.15 pm to give you more information about how phonics is taught in school and how you can help your child at home.

   

  Read, Write, Inc. Phonics is an inclusive literacy programme for all children learning to read. Children learn the 44 common sounds in the English language and how to blend them to read and spell. The scheme includes both a reading and a writing focus.

• We are becoming more eco-friendly ...

  Our school website has all the information you need to know about Holtspur School & Pre-School, including letters, dates and the weekly newsletter to name but a few. We are trying to become more eco-friendly by cutting down on the amount of paper we send home. We will be using email and the website more often, so please check the site regularly. We also have a twitter feed to keep you up to date.
