  Welcome back - we hope you have enjoyed half term and the fantastic weather! This week the whole school will all be looking at a book called The Quest in English, it is a follow up to a book that the we all focused on early in the spring term called Journey by the same author. We also thought we would focus on LOtC for our topic activities and enjoy the same things to do as a school. Years 2, 3, 4 & 5 will be following at home whilst those in school will be looking at it there. 

  We look forward to seeing the results using the Seesaw app for those at home - don't loose your text code once received as you will need it to login each time to the app!

• May Day is Holtspur Day .. the Day our School began!

  1st May 1951, the day the first children entered the doors of Holtspur's brand new school. We celebrate in school with the Holtspur School Song, here are the words that recognise both past and present pupils. 

   

  The Holtspur Song

  May Day is Holtspur Day the day our school began.

  We'll strive at work

  We'll strive at play

  We'll do the best we can.

  To keep its name for ever proud

  Shall always be our aim

  And Holtspur children shall sing loud

  Its praises to acclaim.
