  • Ivins Rd Allotment/Community Garden Planting

    Fri 21 Oct 2022

We were offered the opportunity to go over to the allotments to help the Chiltern Rangers with planting who were asked by Beaconsfield Town Council to create a community garden at the allotments on a couple of plots that hadn't been used for a long time. They wanted it to be wheelchair friendly and available to the local community and particularly those that don't have their own space to grow things but also to bring together people around a common cause, giving the opportunity for those who may be socially isolated or just lacking in confidence somewhere to go and enjoy being outdoors. The main tasks were planting a wide variety of plants and watering too. The children really enjoyed helping to plant the area - some doing this for the first time. We would like to thank the Rangers for giving us the chance to do something for our Community and for their guidance during the sessions.

  • Holtspur Summer Challenge!

    Thu 21 Jul 2022

Holtspur Summer Challenge - Please encourage your children to try and complete as many of the challenges as they can. The challenges link to all different aspects of the curriculum and are a great way to keep the children engaged over the 6 weeks. Once an activity has been completed, tick off the section and return the finished sheet to your class teacher in September to receive a certificate in assembly. We would also love to see any photos of the children completing the challenges for our website and to display in the library at school.
