Festival of Lights
Sun 16 Dec 2018FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
On Wednesday, the Year 3 and the choir took part in the annual Festival of Lights in Beaconsfield. The school were represented fantastically and it was so brilliant to see so many familiar faces as we paraded with our beautiful lanterns down the High Street! I want to say a huge thank you to all of the parents and staff who gave their evening to support such a lovely event!

Children in Need & Poppy Appeal - we raised ...
Fri 16 Nov 2018Thank you to everyone who donated to the Poppy Appeal, we raised a total of £413.23. For Children in Need, Holtspur School & Pre-School raised a total of £335.00 which will go to the charity ready for tonight's show.
We really appreciate your support in our charitable events.

Children in Need 15th November
Fri 09 Nov 2018For Children In Need this year we will be holding our Children in Need Day on Thursday 15th November so that we can donate the money raised on Friday 16th November. Please ‘show your spots’ for Children in Need in return for a donation of only £1.00. During the week our School Council will be selling wristbands, if your child would like to purchase one please send in a £1 - Many thanks :-) -
Anti Bullying Week & Odd Socks Day 12th - 16th November
Fri 09 Nov 2018Anti bullying Week 2018 is being held between the 12th and 16th November and is organised by Anti-Bullying Alliance. This year the theme is 'Choose Respect'.
The definition of respect: That bullying is a behaviour choice. That we can respectfully disagree with each other i.e. we don’t have to be best friends or always agree with each other but we do have to respect each other. That we all need to choose to respect each other both face to face and online.Alongside Anti Bullying week on Monday 12th November we are holding an
‘Odd Socks Day’
Most importantly, Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity for children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
There is no pressure on the children to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes. All they have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school, it couldn’t be simpler to help raise awareness around respecting difference. -
Remembrance Commemoration Poppies
Tue 06 Nov 2018We have laid 100 stones to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War 1 at the front of the school by the flag, Gardening Club have also planted our poppies, made by the children, in the school grounds.
Can you please not allow children to play with either the stones or the poppies as a show of respect to the meaning of their placing.
Our Remembrance Service is at 2.45pm Friday 9th November in the main playground, you are very welcome to join the children.

Monday 10 December at 1.30pm - Dress Rehearsal for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (Pre-School to watch)
Tuesday 11 December at 9.30am - Reception and Year 1 Performance (sibling friendly)
Tuesday 11 December at 1.30pm - Year 2 Performance
Wednesday 12 December at 2.00pm - Reception and Year 1 Performance
Thursday 13 December at 9.30am - Year 2 Performance (sibling friendly)

Harvest Thankyou ...
Fri 28 Sep 2018Today we celebrated our Harvest Assembly, which was led by Years 3, 4 and 5. Thank you for all your donations towards the ‘One Can Trust’, a Wycombe based charity which provides food banks and parcels to local families who need help.
